SARAH THOMPSON paintings
Sarah Thompson paints flowers, trees, people, cats, dogs ...and land, sea and city scapes all near the Cascade Mountain range in central Washington state. Sarah's paintings have been shown professionally since 1981.
Sarah is a native of New Orleans and she studied painting in Baton Rouge, Louisiana with Edward Pramuk and Anne Tabachnick at LSU. In Seattle Sarah was a student of Jacob Lawrence at the University of Washington.
Sarah taught painting and drawing for years and years at the University of Washington Extension, Seattle Central Community College, Pratt Fine Arts Center and she worked for the education departments of Tacoma Art Museum and Seattle Art Museum. She has been in nearly 100 group shows and 16 solo shows. She has won many awards and her work is prized and widely collected.
